Our hosts brains are a little scrambled trying to figure out how the timeline works in the film Terminator Genisys. As a reboot it may work, but having just marathoned the first four Terminators, they are going to be a little picky.
Kendyl and Ryan sit down to watch The Terminator (1984) and discuss the weirdness of time travel and the rudeness of the person that decided to mow the lawn outside their window during our podcast.
This time around Dorin, Jenn and Kendyl discuss the film Sabotage in which a team of DEA agents is quickly being eliminated one by one, loosely based on Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None. While this isn’t everyone’s type of film, they have a good time discussing what parts were unnecessary, what parts were confusing and why the deaths needed to be more interesting.

Two admissions: one, I am a big fan of Philip K. Dick and two, I have never seen the 1990 Arnold Schwartzenegger version of Total Recall.
I know, I know. How can I call myself a fan? Honestly, P.K. Dick’s short story We Can Remember It For You, Wholesale (1966) was enough for me. I didn’t feel like I needed to see some pumped up action film to appreciate the simple genius of the story. Please, feel free to correct this assumption in the comments.
And now I find myself in a bit of a dilemma as there is a remake coming out. Starring Colin Farrell. And if I see it, it’s going to look like I went for the eye candy. To correct this, Adaptation will be doing an episode where we talk about the story and both films. But while we wait for the film to be released, here’s the new trailer to tide you over:
