Kendyl and Dorin read Cloud Atlas and feel like it has taken over their entire thought processes in this record long episode. But don’t worry, it’s worth it for the in-depth discussion of David Mitchell’s amazing book that leads the hosts to talk of reincarnation, war and lots of -isms.

I had to bypass your spoiler advice in this instance, but having seen the film last week, I thought this would be OK.
It’s great to hear your enthusiasm for this work – one I certainly intend to read now I’ve seen the movie.
Watching the movie first was an interesting experience – with no pre-knowledge of characters, structure or plot – I will admit to being fairly baffled.
However, since then, with some targeted reading and your valuable insights, I know enough to want to read the book in full.
Will be interesting to hear your take on the movie as you enter the experience with full knowledge of the background.
Happy New Year to you all….
Andrew

Happy New Year! Really all I can say is that I highly, highly recommend the book. Obviously, you’ve listened to me say all the rest (and major kudos for getting through that record long podcast!). We did just release the movie podcast, as you might have seen. Once you have read the book, come back and talk to us! We are still insanely obsessed with the characters and would love to know your thoughts/favorite characters/etc.
