While all of us have been waiting with bated breath to see who would be cast in the newest installment of the Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Lionsgate have been hard at work making decisions about the future. Mockingjay, the third book in the trilogy and the epic conclusion to the story of Katniss Everdeen and Panem, will be coming out on November 21, 2014, but that’s not all.
Not only has Lionsgate decided the release date, it has chosen, in true series form, to make the last installment into two movies. That’s right; Mockingjay will be a two part movie. Part two will be being release on November 20, 2015. So the franchise is staying consistent on the dates.
If you think about it, it is a pretty wise decision for Lionsgate to make. Harry Potter and Twilight have done this as well and it created extra revenue for the production companies. But what do you guys think? Is Mockingjay a two part movie? If so, where would they split it? To get more information about this check out the article:
